Helvetra exists for one reason: to give Switzerland a translation tool that respects Swiss values. Privacy, quality, and independence.
Your words deserve to stay in Switzerland. Not on servers in the US or EU. Not used to train foreign AI models. Just translated, privately, and forgotten.

Helvetra is powered by Apertus, the Swiss AI language model developed by ETH Zurich and EPFL, two of the world's leading technical universities. This is Swiss research excellence, made accessible.
Our infrastructure runs on Infomaniak, Switzerland's leading independent cloud provider. Swiss data centers, Swiss law, zero data retention.
Sustainable by Design
Our servers run on 100% renewable energy. Infomaniak's data centers are powered by hydroelectric energy and cooled naturally by outside air. The waste heat is recovered to warm nearby buildings.
Every translation you make has a minimal carbon footprint. No overseas data transfers, no energy-hungry global infrastructure. Just clean Swiss power, used efficiently.
Privacy by Design
We built Helvetra with one principle: your data is yours. Translations are processed and immediately discarded. We don't store what you write. We don't track how you use the app.
The only exception: if you choose to give feedback, you explicitly consent to share that specific translation. Nothing happens without your permission.
Independent & Transparent
Helvetra is an independent Swiss company. Revenue goes directly to maintaining and improving the service. No hidden commissions, no investor pressure, no data monetization.
We use Apertus and Infomaniak because they align with our values, not because we're affiliated. We pay standard fees like any customer. Our only obligation is to you.
