1. Scope

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of Helvetra's translation services. By using Helvetra, you agree to these terms.

2. Service Description

Helvetra provides AI-powered translation services between German, Swiss German, French, Italian, Romansh, and English. Translations are generated by Apertus, a Swiss AI model, and are provided as-is without guarantee of accuracy.

3. Service Tiers

Helvetra offers the following service tiers:

  • Anonymous (Web): Up to 400 characters per translation, maximum 2,000 characters per week. No registration required. iOS app users automatically receive Basic tier limits.
  • Basic (Free): Up to 1,000 characters per translation, maximum 20,000 characters per month. Registration required on web, automatic on iOS.
  • Helvetra+: Up to 5,000 characters per translation, maximum 500,000 characters per month. Paid subscription.

4. Pricing

Helvetra+ subscription pricing:

  • Yearly: CHF 4.99/month (billed annually)
  • Monthly: CHF 7.99/month

5. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Subscriptions are opt-in for renewal. After cancellation, you retain access until the end of your billing period.

6. Refunds

All payments are final. No refunds are provided for subscription fees.

7. Data Handling

Helvetra does not store your translations. Text is processed and discarded immediately. The only exception is when you submit feedback and explicitly agree to share the translation for quality improvement purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

Helvetra is provided as-is. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of our service, including but not limited to inaccurate translations. Users are responsible for verifying translation accuracy for critical use cases.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of Helvetra after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Swiss law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Bern, Switzerland.
