Helvetra is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect minimal data and store everything in Switzerland.

What We Collect

We only collect data when you explicitly choose to give feedback:

• Your feedback (like/dislike) on translations
• The translated text (only with your consent)
• Optional: dialect region and comments you provide

What We Do NOT Collect

We respect your privacy and do not collect:

• Your translations (unless you give feedback with consent)
• Unmasked IP addresses or device fingerprints
• Cookies for tracking, advertising, or cross-site profiling
• Any personal identification data

Anonymous analytics

We count anonymous page visits with Matomo, a privacy-respecting analytics tool that we host ourselves on Swiss infrastructure. No third party ever receives your data.

• IP addresses are anonymised (last 2 bytes masked) before storage
• No cookies are set on your browser
• No cross-site tracking, no advertising tracking, no fingerprinting
• Do-Not-Track and Global Privacy Control signals are honoured

Where Data Is Stored

All data is stored exclusively in Switzerland on Swiss servers (Infomaniak). Your data never leaves Switzerland.

How We Use Data

Feedback data is used solely to improve translation quality. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Know what data we have about you
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time
